Mercy Chinwo

Mercy Chinwo is a Nigerian gospel musician and actress who first rose to prominence after winning the second season of the singing-competition show Nigerian Idol. ∙ At 2018’s CLIMAX Awards, Chinwo was named Best Gospel Artiste. ∙ She won three awards at the 2019 African Gospel Awards Festival, including Female Artiste of the Year and New Artiste of the Year. ∙ In 2019, Chinwo and gospel artist J.J. Hairston teamed up for the uplifting “Excess Love Remix,” a live reimagining of her award-winning worship hit. ∙ Chinwo won Best Female Minister at the 2020 Maranatha Awards, which honor the world’s best and most prominent worship musicians.
