Each month, the Apple Music Fitness Mix is helmed by one of modern music’s best DJs and producers to deliver the perfect set for your next workout. Calibrated to different modalities—whether you’re riding or running, at the gym or practising yoga—it brings the right kind of energy to help you push through whatever challenge awaits. This set, mixed by Murda Beatz (born Shane Lee Lindstrom), will keep you locked in to your next gym session—or any sort of exercise you might choose. “My goal was to create a Fitness Mix that I would work out to, turning the gym into a club,” the Ontario-born, LA-based hip-hop producer tells Apple Music. “I structured the mix to let the energy build with the workout. Having that perfect track is important when you start to burn out.” Lindstrom, who’s worked with Drake, Migos, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, says he’d use the mix “during an intense weightlifting workout or cardio day”. Including tracks from Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Waka Flocka Flame, 2 Chainz and tons more, the set closes with something new from the Murda Beatz lab: “‘Same Shit’ was the perfect way to end a workout,” he says. “The guitar solo at the end is how I like to leave the gym.”
