And now, the world isn’t just listening—they’re learning.” It’s a strong statement, to be sure, but a selector like AD—who has rocked stages across party hubs like Germany, Dubai and South Africa—knows what dance floors need to hear. It’s how he came into a nickname like “The People’s Champ”. For July 2025’s Africa Now Mix, AD DJ selected cuts from artists like Davido, Uncle Waffles and Burna Boy, to name but a few, each of whom helps to tell the story of African music in his moment. “This mix is my passport,” he says. “It’s club-tested and crowd-approved; a celebration of where we are and where we’re going.
