Versions

  • GitHub Extension for Visual Studio version: 2.10.7.8114
  • Visual Studio version: Visual Studio Enterprise 2019 16.3.6

What happened

Team Explorer only shows DevOps connections. GitHub is not an option under Manage Connections. Even after cloning a GitHub project from a private repository, Manage Connections does not even list GitHub as a server. The only option it presents is to create a new Azure DevOps server under my Office 365 Account.

Manage Extensions shows GitHub 2.10.7.8114 installed on 10/1/2019 installed and enabled. Under Global Settings, the Email address defaults to the Office 365 address and not the address used with the GitHub account that I cloned the project from. The Default Repository Location is also incorrect.

Expected behavior

I would expect to be able to connect to my GitHub Private Repositories via the GitHub Extension. I would also expect to be able to create new repositories, access my existing repos without being prompted to create a new Azure Repo with Office 365 info plugged in.
