Hi,
I am experiencing a critical issue with my app (dbMobil) in its published state. When the app is installed via TestFlight, it works without any problems and no errors can be detected. However, when downloading the same app from the App Store, it immediately crashes for many users without displaying any error message, directly at app start.
This issue also occurs on my own test devices:
TestFlight version: works flawlessly
App Store version: crashes immediately upon launch
It appears that there must be a difference between the version I submitted and published via TestFlight and the one currently available on the App Store.
Could you please provide me with feedback on what differences may exist between these two versions and where the cause of this issue might lie?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Since 1st of September archives uploaded via Xcode 26 beta 7 or builds distributed via CD (fastlane deliver) don't appear in App Store Connect. No errors reported during/after upload process, no e-mails with errors received.
Xcode reports successful upload (with a few warnings regarding dSYM)
I'm not getting any e-mails with ITMS errors
Builds don't appear at in App Store Connect in TestFlight section (not even in "Processing" or "Failed" states).
For me it seems like App Store Connect outage but all statuses in https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ are green.
Most ASO tools I’ve found, like Appfigures, are effective but too expensive for my current app income. I’m exploring cheaper alternatives such as Astro—has anyone used it or compared it with tools like Appfigures or Appvector?

This is my first iOS app release and I’m a bit confused. The initial version was reviewed in under 12 hours (rejected), and the corrected version was approved just as quickly. But my Product Page Optimization with only screenshots has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” for four days. Do these get reviewed only with new versions, or should I just wait it out?

App Review Stuck in Extended Review for almost 2 weeks (After “No Additional Info Required” Message)
Hi,
We’re reaching out to the community because we’re stuck in a situation that’s becoming critical for our launch timeline and could really use some advice.
We submitted our app on August 11, 2025. Over the following days, we worked closely with App Review, made revisions, and provided every piece of information they requested. On August 19, 2025, we finally received this message:
“Your submission’s review will require additional time as we take this new information into account. We do not require any further information at this time. Once we have thoroughly reviewed your submission, we will either contact you in App Store Connect to communicate any issues found, or your submission will be approved.”
We followed up days later and got this response:
“We apologize for the delay. Your submission is still in review but is requiring additional time. We will provide further status updates as soon as we are able.”
It’s been 12+ days with no updates, and the app is still stuck in “Unresolved Issue” status.
This delay has now pushed us past our launch deadline, and we’re unsure why the process is taking so long.
We completely understand that expedited reviews aren’t always possible, but given the urgency and importance of this project, we’re doing everything we can to move forward.
If anyone from App Review happens to see this, or if any developers have gone through something similar and can share advice, we’d really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

I added a feature to my app that retrieves only app settings (no personal data) from my API hosted on Cloudflare Workers. The app does not send, collect, track, or share any user data, and I do not store or process any personal information.
Technical details such as IP address, user agent, and device information may be automatically transmitted as part of the internet protocol when the request is made, but my app does not log or use them. Cloudflare may collect this information.
Question: Does this count as “data collection” for App Store Connect purposes, or can I select “No Data Collected”?
I’m working on an iOS app and need help with ASO to find the best keywords for title, subtitle, description, and keyword field. Can anyone suggest free tools that show keyword volume, difficulty, and competitor keywords?

trying to deploy the LotBot app to my physical device, rtd2, which is listed as a device in the App Developer Portal. when I create a provision file it is always for W246SX52AS, as seen in the developer portal, but from Xcode I am showing a app id of "Apple Development: Richard Dukes (86537MF8N2)".
Message:
I am unable to create a "Apple Development: Richard Dukes (W246SX52AS)" so I may deploy to the device and the App Store. I have signed out and back in to Xcode with my account but when creating the profile it is always the 86537MF8N2.

How can I get Xcode to use W246SX52AS?
I have these help tickets open as well.

A 1.69% App Store conversion rate could be due to factors like unclear value proposition, unoptimized screenshots, or lack of strong reviews. Improving visuals, refining your app description, and gathering positive ratings can help boost installs.

Hello,
I need some help. I’m creating an application, but in fact it is just an instance of a web page built with WordPress and Elementor.
When submitting it for review, the following adjustment is required:
4.2.2 Design: Minimum Functionality

I understand how frustrating ASO can be when progress feels slow. To grow beyond keyword optimization, it helps to learn from indie developer resources, communities, and guides that focus on practical app marketing strategies and visibility.

Hello, Im having an issue seeing my application appear in in testflight. as soon as i run the command eas submit - p ios --latest it completes and says
Your binary has been successfully uploaded to App Store Connect!
It is now being processed by Apple - you will receive an email when the processing finishes.
It usually takes about 5-10 minutes depending on how busy Apple servers are.
When it's done, you can see your build here:
the app sometimes flashes on the screen in testflight then is gone forever
This is an expo react native application.... I was able to submit builds but all of a sudden this started occuring.

Hi,
I have an iOS app that only makes GET requests to my own API (hosted on Cloudflare Workers).
The app only receives information for its settings (like whether to show a coupon code).
It does not send, collect, track, or share any user data, and I do not store or process any personal information.
I understand that technical details (like IP address, user-agent, device information, etc.) are automatically sent as part of the internet protocol. Since I don’t log or use this data, I’m unsure if it counts as “data collection.” However, it is possible that Cloudflare collects this information for security purposes and deletes it after some time.
Question:
In this case, can I select “No data collected” in the App Privacy section of App Store Connect?
Thanks!

Should you rely only on organic installs, or would a mix of strategies work better? Isn’t optimizing keywords and refining creatives essential for higher visibility? Would running Apple Search Ads not further amplify reach? And doesn’t encouraging strong reviews ultimately help in improving both ranking and credibility?

Hello everyone,
I am building a React Native (Expo) application where the customer requested a simple “Add to Wallet” button. However, instead of handling Wallet provisioning or passes, the requirement is just to open the Apple Wallet app when the user taps this button.
My questions are:
Is it allowed by App Store Review Guidelines to have a button that simply launches the Wallet app, without actually adding a pass (.pkpass) or card? After navigation to the Apple app user just can manually add the card to the Apple Wallet.
If so, should I avoid using the official “Add to Apple Wallet” badge, since nothing is being added? Would a custom label like “Open Wallet” be more appropriate to comply with Apple’s branding rules?
Could my app risk App Store rejection if I implement this simplified behavior?
I want to make sure I follow the guidelines and avoid misleading users or violating branding rules. Any clarification or experiences from others who have submitted apps with similar functionality would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hello fellow devs and Apple engineers,
I want to discuss with everyone about App Preview videos on the App Store.
My app NFC.cool is an NFC reading and writing app which interacts with NFC tags that need to be held to the top of device frame of an iPhone. As you can see, this is how my app works and I would like to show that to users on the App Store and present my app in the best way possible.
However I keep fighting with app review about device frames and/or "real" hands in my app preview videos. Sometimes I get a reviewer that is ok with the video and sometimes not. In screenshots device frames are accepted and very common. Why are they not allowed in app previews? It doesn't make a lot of sense to me. And to be honest, I regularly see app previews with device frames on other AppStore pages.
Here is the app preview that got rejected lately: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/qTDBGecK0w0
I can easily agree with the hands (even though they are not real, they are a render). But the device frame helps the user to understand what my app does and how it works.
Ideally I would like to have some Apple staff to see this post here and hopefully start a small wave that will change the guidelines in the future.
Here the message from the reviewer:
Product Page Optimization
Guideline 2.3.4 - Performance - Accurate Metadata
The app preview for NFC Read Write Socials Video includes content that does not sufficiently show the app in use. Specifically, the app preview:
Includes device images and/or device frames.
Displays real hands.
App previews should allow users to see what the app does and how it will >appear on their device when the preview is played in full screen.
My answer:
Hello, these are not real hands. These are renders. The video is accurately showing what the real use of my app. Please keep in mind that an NFC tag has to be held from the outside to the device to interact with my app. The guidelines definitely support what I did in my video. Please take another look. Thank you.
Following the guidelines:
2.3.4
…You can add narration and video or textual overlays to help explain anything that isn’t clear from the video alone.
https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/#accurate-metadata
Use graphics and transitions. If you need to demonstrate how interaction or navigation works within your app, you may add graphic elements, such as touch hotspots. We recommend capturing the native UI resolution rather than zooming in on the view. Ensure that any transitions between scenes don’t imply functionality that your app doesn’t include. Aim to use straightforward transitions, like dissolves and fades.

What's your opinion on this topic?
Product Page Optimization reviews sometimes take longer than app updates and it is normal to wait a few days so no action is needed yet.

In iOS 18 betas, the App Store search bar has been moved to the bottom of the screen. This breaks years of usability and is inconsistent with Apple’s own apps—Calendar, Reminders, Maps, Safari, Files, Wallet, and Shortcuts—all of which keep search at the top.
I (and many others) hold the phone in one hand and tap with the other. Top placement is faster, more natural, and aligns with established Apple design. The “thumb reach” argument does not fit real-world usage for a large portion of users.
What I want is consistency across all Apple apps: put the search bar at the top everywhere.
Apple already made this mistake with Safari’s bottom address bar in iOS 15 and had to add a toggle after backlash. Please don’t repeat history.
Feedback ID: FB19598638
If you agree, please follow your own feedback and reference this thread. The more reports Apple sees, the more likely this gets fixed.
If a phased release is paused (for example, at 10% rollout) and a new version of the app is subsequently submitted and released, does the previously paused version ever resume rollout to 100%? Or is it permanently halted once a newer version becomes available?
Understanding this process is important for our release management strategy. Thank you in advance.
As an indie iOS dev, ASO often feels frustrating and unpredictable. Any proven tips, or is it just a grind we all face.
