When Http2SecureServer is configured with `allowHTTP1=true`, it calls `setupConnectionsTracking` to start monitoring for idle HTTP1 connections. `setupConnectionsTracking` expects to have `this.connectionsCheckingInterval` property defined, but it does not exist on `Http2SecureServer`. This `undefined` value is passed to `setInterval`, which results in `checkConnections` being called on every tick, creating significant additional load on the server CPU. The fix is to define `this.connectionsCheckingInterval` on the Http2SecureServer instance. Refs: nodejs#51569

In Node
v20.12a new feature was added for HTTP2 servers to close idle connections when allowHTTP1 is true. The implementation mirrors HTTP1 server behavior and leans on setupConnectionsTracking.setupConnectionsTrackingworks by callingsetIntervalusing thethis.connectionsCheckingIntervalvalue which does not exist onHttp2SecureServer. Therefore, undefinedis passed tosetInterval, which leads tocheckConnectionsbeing called on every tick. This creates a significant additional load on the server CPU. The fix is to definethis.connectionsCheckingIntervalon the Http2SecureServer instance. We run 10-20 app instances per server, and our CPU usage increased by ~20% when upgrading from
v20.11.1tov20.12.0due to this issue.Refs: #51569
