I really appreciate your contribution. But I have this personal commitment to not advertise any commercial products here (e.g., Amazon for the ebooks). Also I don't want to recommend anything that I haven't checked out yet - it just doesn't feel honest. I hope you understand...

These books are available as open source:

The book and the programs are open source, and are available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike license, meaning they are free to copy and distribute. See the license for full details. A print copy can be bought on Amazon.com for $25.

I started the "Hacking Secret Ciphers with Python" today, I'll keep you posted about the review, but so far it seems to be a good resource.
