Just use Gutenberg with Automattic’s wordpress.com managed hosting.

Why would you ever use Elementor to build a website in 2026? The performance alone is extremely poor; modules add such mess to the structure of the pages; SEO is non-existent.

Elementor’s ultimate aim is to tie you in to using their ‘platform’ and then to overcharge you for sub-par services. Hosting will frequently go down. You will be overcharged for things such as email sending. Their Elementor admin, where you manage your website and ‘add-ons’, crashes all the time.

    Hi Theo,

Thank you for sharing your perspective. It’s clear you’ve had a frustrating experience, and I appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback.

I’d like to address a few points: Elementor is designed to work alongside WordPress, not to replace it or lock users into a closed ecosystem. Many developers and agencies continue to choose Elementor for its design flexibility and workflow efficiency. Regarding performance, recent versions have focused significantly on optimization, and sites built following best practices perform well on standard metrics.

As for hosting and admin stability issues, if you’ve experienced frequent downtime or crashes, that’s definitely not the norm and something our team would want to investigate. Those kinds of issues often point to specific configuration or server factors worth looking into.

If you’re open to it, our support team at feedback@support.elementor.com would be happy to look at what’s been going on with your setup and see if there’s something we can help resolve.

Thanks Luis for your utterly pointless response. It is clear that Elementor’s days are numbered. Enjoy all the negative reviews.
