Hi mates! I hope you had a good new year celebration!

Today, I transferred my client’s website to his main domain. Afterwards we were trying to change the email address under “Settings”/”General”. My client received & clicked at the link from the wordpress confirmation email, but since over an hour it hasn’t change yet. In order to see where the email goes, we sent a message to the “WP Forms” contact form, but it never arrived. Anyone has an idea what happened, and why the email address is not changing?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

If he received the email, then sending emails is basically working. The question would be whether he landed on the right website when he clicked on the confirmation link. If you have just moved the project, you need to check whether it might still be pointing to the wrong website.

There could be several reasons why you did not receive any emails from the form. First, check whether email notifications are enabled in the form. Some form plugins do not enable this immediately.

If this is enabled but no email was received from the form, there could be several reasons for this. Since the email to change the admin email arrived, I don’t think it’s a general problem. It may be related to the structure of the email, which was recognized as spam. To prevent this, I would recommend setting up SMTP delivery from WordPress. To do this, you need one of the SMTP plugins: https://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/smtp/
