These indexes presumably work indentically on MariaDB, and this plugin improves performance no matter which database WP runs on, right?

Would you mind adding MariaDB in the name of the plugin to make it prominent, and also add tag ‘mariadb’ in plugin metadata? MariaDB is 50%+ of databases nowadays according to https://wordpress.org/about/stats/#mysql_versions

MariaDB does indeed work correctly. We have far more MariaDB users than MySQL, as a matter of fact.

I can’t change the slug without getting a new plugin approved, so that’s not in the cards. index-wp-mysql-for-speed

But I will accept your other suggestions.

    Thanks!
