Make Follow/Reply Button Form Easier for users

I’ve recently installed activitypub plugin in my wordpress site. I’m currently testing how it works. My idea about federation is trying to make it as easy as possible for users and, regarding the follow/reply button form I think it could be easier. To follow or reply an user needs to enter the fediverse handler (@user@server.com) o user account url (https://server.com/@user) but i considerer it shuld also works with only the server url like mastodon.social or https://mastodon.social (even the https:// part shouldn’t be necessary) and then with the button redirect the user to that server. Currently, if you do that, an error message is displayed.
