Nonce Verification Failed

    Hi,

    This issue has been raised many times before but I cannot find the right solution. So on the http://theopticalfoundation.com/donations/donate-glasses/ page I get this Nonce Verification Failed error when I try to make a donation with PayPal. Things I did to solve the issue:

    – Moved to better hosting
    – Installed Health Check plugin (running 7.1.17 PHP version)
    – Updated wp-config to include define( ‘GIVE_USE_PHP_SESSIONS’ , false); line
    – Plugins disabled

    Our organisation needs this plugin to work. So any other suggestions?

    @relenbaas I checked form HTML and it seems you directly adding donation form HTML to page/post content which is not a good way to add donation form to page/post.
    Can you reply to following questions:

    1. Can you confirm which Give version are you using?
    2. How did you insert a form shortcode into page/post?
    a. Are you inserting HTML directly into page/post content?
    Ans: if yes, then please use form shortcode instead of hard code HTML: https://givewp.com/documentation/core/shortcodes/give_form/

    Version 2.1.3

    I created a Donation form directly in the Donations menu option. I use the Goodwill theme. The form created is then accessible via the actual URL shared in my initial forum post. See screenshot here:

    3. Are you inserting HTML directly into page/post content?
    No, used the menu option to create a form which then creates the URL.

    1. You donation form HTML is not same as we are outputting in 2.1.3. In your HTML I did not find security form field and this is a reason for nonce failure. Maybe your form HTML loading from the cache instead of fresh generate after 2.1.3.

    If that is cache then delete cache and then test your donation form again.

    Please reach out to us via our website at http://givewp.com/contact-us and select the “I am responding to your request to contact Give” option.

    In that message, please send along your System Info.

    Navigate to Donations –> Tools –> System Info (tab) and click the button to “Get System Report” and copy/paste that in your message.

    That will give us some more context to be able to help.

    Problem has been resolved by updating the Goodwish theme to the latest version, as old version was no longer compatible with Give version

    Steps:

    1. Download and install latest GoodWish theme version
    2. Deactivate and remove Give plugins
    3. Activate Goodwish theme
    4. Download and install latest version of Give plugins.
