I would recommend not only relying on plugins but also looking at what your theme itself can do. However, I am also unsure given your wording:
my site is not working
What exactly does that mean? Do you see an error message, and if so, what is it? Or is it a display error, and if so, what is it?
Error messages and display errors can also be caused by existing plugins. If we are to assess this more accurately for you, it would be helpful to have a link to the affected page.
If you don’t want to show it, you can at least share some information about your project, e.g. which theme you are using and which plugins. The website report, which can be found under Tools > Site Health > Info with a button to copy, can also be helpful here. A screenshot could also help, see: https://wordpress.org/support/forum-user-guide/block-editor/#adding-screenshots
Alternatively, you can of course find someone to look at it with you in person. You can find someone like that here, for example: https://jobs.wordpress.net/
My apologies was in a hurry this morning, too many tasks to get through in a few minutes. So was writing in my usual shorthand.
What I mean is it is not showing up properly in Chrome. I do not have Chrome, won’t use it, so no cannot show a screen shot it was a client who told me.
I do my own work. 🙂 I remember having to write code for websites in the 90s to allow for proper viewing in different browsers. Sites do not look the same in FireFox as it does in Chrome. But since I do not bother with the other browsers, never considered it for WordPress sites. For some odd reason I thought that problem went away.
officewife.biz is my site.
Theme: Multipurpose Blog

Yeah, here’s the thing. Chrome is the standard default browser for most everybody. If you’re going to develop for the web, install the normal browsers that people use. Using Firefox only, makes you the outlier here.
Thank you for the sarcasm, I thought this was a safe place, it does not feel that way.
I can’t see any difference between Firefox and Chrome. I also tested Edge (which ultimately uses Chrome): I don’t see any difference there either.
If your customer tells you something like this, you should first ask them for a screenshot of what they see. Then you’ll know exactly what they mean. To fix it, you’ll ultimately have to use a Chrome-based browser, because even though they are now largely identical in behavior, there can still be subtle differences.
Thank you, he said the plug in for the social media was stacking, each icon overlaying the other and over the banner. I did not bother with asking for a screenshot, but it did bring to mind that my theme may have been the issue or the plugins.
I appreciate the feed back. For me I was just doing some research. So far the theme I have is responsive for devices, but forgot about browsers.
Have a great day.
Yes, there is some overlap here with small viewports: https://imgur.com/a/iAzOFd4
It also does this in Firefox. You should be able to see it there too if you look at smaller viewports.
The smaller viewports, alright. Firefox is fine on my computer. 🙂 Which is why I had not clue the plugin was doing that.
Thank you.
