Once I add this “read more” function between texts, It suppose to show clickable button “read more” (I guess), and after click should show text under this line, but it dows not work.
If you have set your WordPress site to display post excerpts on the front or home page, you will want visitors to click on the title or a link to encourage them to continue reading your post or article, right? WordPress makes this technique easy, and customizable.
As an alternative, consider enabling the New product editor option in the WooCommerce options, for a more straight-forward editing experience. It can be found in the screen at WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Features. Below, a screenshot, for reference:
With the What’s Next in the Product Editor announcement, The “New Product Editor” experience has been indefinitely paused, and a future v3 product editor will replace it. So we don’t suggest to switch to it. Furthermore in the next Woo releases, the feature flag will be removed.
As previously mentioned by @anastas10s, the “Read More” button is currently designed for posts and does not yet work for product descriptions. You might want to wait for the next release to see if this is addressed. If not, you can follow up on the feature request here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/56184.
