HI, I’m facing a wordpress issue where I’m not able to update the version of WordPress to the latest version. Does it deprecate with older plugins or themes?

I’m planning to directly replace a file on my server except vp_content and vp_admin.

Will this be sufficient?

Which version of WordPress do you currently have? And what do you see as update information in the backend? Or do you see the info and it fails, if so, what message do you see?

And of course you can also update manually. This is described here: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/updating-wordpress/#manual-update

If you are going to try update manually
1. Please take a backup first.
2. You need to keep wp-content & wp-config.php file.
3. All other files you need to upload in the root directory.
