• I’m searching for documentation that addresses how I want to set up my website. I want to use only static pages, with no posts anywhere on the site. Where do I start?

WordPress already is a CMS. 🙂

If you don’t want posts on your site, then don’t publish posts. There’s absolutely no requirement to use posts.

But are there settings to make initially to do that. I’m hoping to find a tutorial or something where someone else did this. Looking at the “getting started” information makes the assumption that blog posts will be key to your website.

If you have an older classic theme, look at Settings > Reading in your Dashboard and choose a front page other than your latest posts.

If you have a newer block theme, there’s nothing to do except avoid publishing posts. 🙂
