What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
We calculate order and sales volumes over a trailing 12-month period. If your usage exceeds plan limits, you will be notified immediately and upgraded to the next tier. You can also proactively upgrade anytime from your account settings.
Can I change plans anytime?
Your plan adjusts automatically based on your trailing 12-month order volume and revenue. As your business grows and hits a new threshold, we'll upgrade your plan to match. If your volumes decrease, we'll email you with the option to downgrade. Since every plan includes all features, you can start on the smallest plan and focus on your business—your plan will grow with you.
What's included in the free trial?
While all features are available with all plans, accounts in the free trial have some restrictions applied, such as limits to the number of free orders you can send. To have those trial restrictions lifted, reach out to support. We may ask some clarifying questions, but we'll be happy to work with you.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
Are all features really included on all plans?
Yes! We do not gate features by plan tier. PDF stamping, upsells, cart abandonment, affiliate programs, API access, and all other features are available on every plan.
What is the difference between plans?
The only differences between plans are the order/sales volume limits, bandwidth allotment, and support level.
Why does SendOwl offer so many different ways to protect digital files from piracy and unwanted sharing?
The lightweight protection that SendOwl offers helps many merchants feel more comfortable selling digital products online without making download or access complicated for their customers.
What is a bandwidth overage?
Every plan is allocated a set amount of bandwidth that is used when buyers download their purchases. That amount resets every month. The absolute majority of users never exceed their allocated bandwidth and don't need to worry about overages. For the minority (less than 5% of merchants) who consume more than their allocated bandwidth, that is called a bandwidth overage.
Why does SendOwl charge for bandwidth overages?
We currently offer near unlimited storage in order to enable easy hosting for merchants with large files. However, sending these files comes with a cost. We charge $1 per GB of bandwidth over the included monthly allotment.
How likely is it that I will go over my bandwidth allotment?
For the average merchant, highly unlikely. It's our experience that fewer than 5% of our merchants ever exceed these limits. We also work closely with merchants with large files. If they are expecting a major sale, they just have to contact support.
What do you mean near unlimited storage?
On all plans, we offer storage up to 1TB before plans are moved to custom plans. Far less than 1% of all merchants ever get close to this limit. As well, if we find plans that are consuming large amounts of storage but not selling anything, we often contact these plans directly. Our platform is not intended to be used as a storage solution; we offer storage to help enable merchants to sell and deliver their digital content.
How much bandwidth is included per plan?
Launch has 20GB included monthly, Grow has 30GB monthly and Scale has 50GB included. It's our experience that fewer than 5% of our merchants ever exceed these limits. We also work closely with merchants who have large files. If they are expecting a major sale, they just have to contact support to work out temporary bulk discounts.
Should I select a higher cost plan if I know my files are large?
Generally speaking, for most merchants it makes sense to start with "Launch." If you have large product files and expect to have a high volume of sales from the beginning, you may consider selecting a different plan tier with a larger monthly bandwidth allotment.
